 With police, remember to invoke your rights! They will probably not be read to you! The police may not identify as such and/or may try to entrap you (to gather evidence).

These are your Constitutional Rights:

Craigs List Debacle...The Crackdown is a Shakedown!

All people deserve "due process under the law."  In this country  you are also"innocent until proven guilty"! The crack down  against prostitution on craigslist is insane! This has bigger implications than craigslist...internet sex crime accusations,  police entrapment and other civil liberty violations are running rampant as we speak! Without You...

The Biz Meeting attendance has been waning as of late and I wonder if I should continue the meeting. The thing is, I know it is a worthwhile and much needed cause to make the space available for sexworkers(and ex sexworkers) in recovery  to jump in. We have some great members but there has not been a level of consistency and commitment needed to continue.YOU MAKE  THE GROUP!  WITHOUT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU WE ARE NOTHING! WE NEED AT LEAST TWO OTHER COMMITED MEMBERS TO CONTINUE THIS AWESOME GROUP!  PERSEVERANCE ...WILL IT PAY OFF?

Or... double fuck plus! Sounds like a special we used to run @ "Joes' Cheap Ass Hos Bargain Basement"! Wouldn't it be great to be part of something where you could be honest and exactly where you were at without judgement ...even if it is painful there is no way around "getting honest". Some folks dabble...some are in it for the long run! Most are in and out of the Biz and you just never know. I recently read  the biography of Chuck Negron from the band Three Dog Night, "Three Dog Nightmare"... He was a hardcore junkie for decades and eventually got clean. I was inspired by his story and once  in recovery  Chuck now devotes much of his life to helping other addicts. There was a fund started by someone in the Entertainment Business to get addicts in Entertainment (mostly the music biz) into recovery programs,even those without insurance or ability to pay... more about this later. I really saw the parallel here as ALL Entertainers face similar challenges...

My 18th Year Recovery Anniversary!

Next Tuesday September 30th I will be celebrating my  18 year anniversary in sobriety with friends from another  special interest 12-step recovery group..."The Ties That Bind Us"or TTBU(Meets Tuesdays @ 7:30pm in center City)...a group of folks in the BDSM scene! Heather is making me a Lemon Chiffon Cake! WOW! Hope to see you all there!
