Our Voices,Our Lives...

At our last meeting the idea of creating a Forum that can be interactive was discussed. We would start by choosing a topic for discussion. Comments would be posted as usual. At some point we may utilize a message board or a real time devise (much like "instant messenger").

I will place possible forum topics in the Poll section of this blog. If you have an idea for a topic or want to comment here please do!

Tragedy; Murder in Philly SM/BD Community...

I was shocked but I know how dangerous the world of sex work can be and I must admit I am grateful to be out of it professionally. This situation is tragic. Hot Topic! Legal Issues for Sex Workers!

 With police, remember to invoke your rights! They will probably not be read to you! The police may not identify as such and/or may try to entrap you (to gather evidence).

These are your Constitutional Rights:

1. I have the right to remain silent

2. I want to see my lawyer

3.I do not consent to this search

*I am not a lawyer but hope to impart some basic tips. Laws will vary by state. If arrested, get a lawyer... preferably  one that specializes in criminal/entertainment/sex work law. Craigs List Debacle...The Crackdown is a Shakedown!

All people deserve "due process under the law."  In this country  you are also"innocent until proven guilty"! The crack down  against prostitution on craigslist is insane! This has bigger implications than craigslist...internet sex crime accusations,  police entrapment and other civil liberty violations are running rampant as we speak!
