Follow-Up On Cross Addiction Topic...

At last Monday nights Meeting... we spoke about cross-addiction as well as the complication of  a possible MH diagnosis(alcohol, drugs & mental health issues)...

My follow up topic is about "Filling the Void". 

What is it that we are searching to fill within ourselves? What do we do to replace the drugs/alcohol/other self-destructive addictive behaviors? Spirituality? Exercise? Meditation?
