The Biz-Biz Meeting!

Tonight @ 7:30pm(our normal meeting time) @ the Toy Store near South Street, we hope to set a date for our biz-business meeting. We could meet @ 6:30pm(1 hour early)or after @ 8:30pm(1 hour later). Some areas of discussion may include:

Speaker Commitments(the biz speaker meeting/prison commitments)

Non-12step Announcements/issues(Project Safe,etc)

the biz chairperson commitments(one month)

We Are Here For You When You Need Us!!!

The Biz Meeting was created to address the issue of Recovery in the population of Sex Workers and Ex-Sex Workers...We meet every Monday @ 7:30pm in Center City Philly.

Because of stigma, prejudice and laws policing a mostly victimless crime...unless of course you count the Sex Workers themselves...who are often harassed, assaulted, abused and murdered by clients, psychopaths,partners and police,etc...We should care about our most vulnerable brothers and sisters in or in need of recovery! Those who are working in the industry, whether they are dancers, hustlers, escorts, or Dommes  risk  persecution,arrest, and even death daily. 

Aside from those concerned about Trafficking,(which is a part of the problem) who  is going to care about and support those of us that are still doing this work???!!! The issue of choice  and the evil of Trafficking become  a mute point when those In The Game /In The Life are overlooked!

Massuese Murdered in Upscale Boston Hotel...

Julissa Brisman, 26, was one of us...a masseuse and (former? )escort from NYC...it is said that she was in recovery from alcohol. I have to let this sink in but I am horrified at the senseless, violent, and abrupt end of her life...and the sensationalist portrayal of her murder. How many more have to die? The perpetrator has been captured on video surveillance("Craigslist Killer")cameras,possibly linked to at least two other assault/robberies , one in the same upscale , suburban hotel.

Although I did not know you,I did cry for you...R.I.P. , Julissa...

Follow-Up On Cross Addiction Topic...

At last Monday nights Meeting... we spoke about cross-addiction as well as the complication of  a possible MH diagnosis(alcohol, drugs & mental health issues)...

My follow up topic is about "Filling the Void". 

What is it that we are searching to fill within ourselves? What do we do to replace the drugs/alcohol/other self-destructive addictive behaviors? Spirituality? Exercise? Meditation?

Hopefully, we will continue this as Part II of the discussion...

At our last meeting the idea of creating a Forum that can be interactive was discussed. We would start by choosing a topic for discussion. Comments would be posted as usual. At some point we may utilize a message board or a real time devise (much like "instant messenger").
